An email has been sent home about our annual ski/board program which runs at Grouse Mountain every Thursday during the month of February.

Winter Festival

The high school students have organized a day of fun activities for Wednesday, December 20th.

  • Divisions 1 to 6
    • Christmas card crafts
    • Gingerbread house making/contest
  • Divisions 7 & 8, Grades 8 & 9 – Tobogganning at Mount Seymour
  • High school Christmas sing along performance have prepared a delightful and comical rendition of the 12 days of Christmas!

Blanket BC drive

We are joining Blanket BC to collect new blankets, mitts, gloves, hats, scarves, socks for the homeless by Thursday, December 21st. Items may be used but in good condition.

Students earn a pajama day for every 100 items collected or if Mr. Haine’s truck is filled!

Food donations

We are trying to reach the top of the bear in the main hallway with donations of non-perishable food items by  Thursday, December 21st. For every 500 items donated, students will earn 1 casual day!

Christmas Sing-a-long

Our annual Christmas Concert will be held in the Gym on Thursday, December 21st starting at 1:30pm.

Our last day before Winter Break is Friday, December 22nd.

Skating Party

Our annual skating party will be at Canlan Skating Rink on Seymour Parkway, on Friday, December 22nd from 10:00am to noon. Buses will shuttle students to and from the rink. Helmets are mandatory and skate rentals are limited so students are encouraged to bring a helmet and skates, if they have them.

First day back

Spring Break - March 17th to April 2nd

The school will be closed from Saturday, March 17th to Monday, April 2nd.

First day back after Spring Break - April 3rd

The first day back after Spring Break is Monday, April 3rd.

Pro-D Day and Q3 Report Writing - April 20th

Students will not attend on Friday, April 20th as this is a Professional Development and Q3 Report Writing Day.

Casual Day - April 27th

Pro-D Day - May 18th

Students will not attend on Friday, May 18th as this is a Professional Development Day.

Victoria Day - May 21st

The school will be closed on Monday, May 21st for the Victoria Day holiday.

Casual Day - May 25th

Report Writing Day - June 1st

Students will not attend on Friday, June 1st as this is a Report Writing Day.

Sports Day - June 7th

Sports day is on Thursday, June 7th. A hog dog lunch will be provided to students.

Casual Day - June 8th

The last casual day of the year is Friday, June 8th.

KGMS Has Talent Show

Our annual KGMS Has Talent Show will be on Thursday, June 14th. Please arrive early.

Family and friends are welcome to join us for what is always a fantastic show!
