Lice detected

A case of lice has been detected in the school. Please check your child’s hair and if any are found, follow the instructions below.

A recommended method to break up the life cycle of life is the Wet-Combing Method. Head lice cannot become resistant to this method and all you need is a good comb and some hair conditioner to be successful. Olive oil, Vaseline, mayonnaise or tea tree oil will work just as well, but hair conditioner is a lot easier to wash out afterwards!

Safety Patrol Program

KGMS is excited to welcome The Safety Patrol Program in partnership with BCAA to the school community!

This student initiative is aimed at increasing school safety specific to monitoring the brand new crosswalk at school. We welcome all students from Division 5 to Grade 12 to partake!

Nut and fragrance free

A reminder that we are a nut free and fragrance free school.

Please refrain from bringing nuts into the school and wearing scented products due to allergies.

Hotdog fundraiser

The high school students will be selling hotdogs, juice boxes and chips at lunch every Wednesday.

Hotdogs are $1 each, juice boxes & chips are 75 cents each.

If the school will be closed due to snow, an alert symbol & notice will be posted in the upper left corner on the websites by 6:00 am. Please check the websites before calling the school.
