THE GIVING CAMPAIGN
KGMS is a non-profit organization, which relies heavily on the generosity of corporate sponsors, alumni, friends, family and community organizations to help finance the ever-increasing costs of providing specialized programming for students with learning difficulties. Your gift will help create a dynamic, supportive educational experience – one that will help each student achieve his or her unique potential.
Your donation will also help maintain stable tuition fees, generate increased enrolment, maintain excellent staff ratios and service levels, as well as provide enrichment opportunities and bursary support.
KGMS LEGACY FUND
The KGMS Legacy Fund allows the opportunity for our community to support our school as we work to empower students with learning differences such as dyslexia, ADHD, anxiety and autism. Every little bit helps, and your donation will go towards helping finance the ever-increasing costs of providing the specialized programming needed to assist our student population in moving past their learning obstacles so they may experience success and a sense of pride in their abilities.
All donations made towards the KGMS Legacy Fund will go towards helping kids who are in need of a unique learning experience to thrive educationally.
History of KGMS
For over 40 years, Kenneth Gordon Maplewood School and Maplewood Alternative High School have helped kids build skills and develop tools to be successful throughout their lives. We empower students by unlocking and removing obstacles to learning so that each child can experience personal growth and academic achievement. Our school specializes in educating and growing the confidence of students with dyslexia, ADHD, anxiety, autism and other learning challenges in Grades K – 12 and our approach is designed to develop the whole child. THE BEST OF ME GALA
The KGMS Best of Me Gala was held on May 4, 2019. The event was a huge success. We raised a record amount of over $200,000 for the Bursary Fund, and this could not have been accomplished without the help from our sponsors, auction donors and many volunteers. Their support and generosity will help make our school accessible to the many students who deserve the specialized learning experience that KGMS excels at providing.
